General Sanitation Program

General Sanitation encompasses a wide range of programs. Child Care Facilities, Recreational Water Facilities, and Mobile Home parks have their own rules and regulations.  Other programs such as Bed & Breakfasts, Hotels/Motels, Schools, Summer Camps, and Campgrounds are governed by the state's General Sanitation Regulation. 

The main purpose of any program is to ensure a clean, safe and sanitary environment.  All permitted establishments in the program are inspected a minimum of one time per year.  Recreational Water Facilities and Child Care Center are inspected at least twice a year.  Public schools are inspected bi-annually.
